WHO WE ARE

The Honorary Treasurer’s Forum was created to help the Treasurers of Charities in the important work they carry out. Honorary Treasurers are the unsung heroes of the voluntary sector and the Hon. Treasurers Forum seeks to support them by providing a networking facility, organising regular meetings with keynote speakers, carrying out research, producing relevant publications and occasionally lobbying on behalf of Treasurers. The Forum is a registered charity No: 1118802.

NEWS

The next meeting of the Forum will be on the 14 May 2009 and the theme of the meeting will be the 'Financial Viability of Charities during the Recession'. We will have one of the country's leading academic experts on fundraising, Professor Jenny Harrow, talking about the fundraising challenges in the current climate, Nigel Tyrell of Unity Bank will talk about a bank's perspective and two eminent Honorary Treasurers, Michael Rogerson of Care International and John Corneille of Scope will talk about their experiences and future challanges.

One further meeting is planned in 2009, on 19 November the theme will be Investment prospects including Socially Responsible Investment.
